The Operational Research Society

Operational Research is the application of scientific and mathematical insights and methods to improve the effectiveness of organisations, systems, processes and decisions.

The OR Society’s membership is a unique mix of academics, analysts and decision-makers, all of whom have access to our accreditation, training and career development opportunities; our journals and online resources; and a host of conferences, lectures and networking events.

We also offer volunteering opportunities via our third sector-focussed Pro Bono OR programme and our OR in Schools educational programme.
