CPD Awards Winners 2019

This year’s Science Council CPD awards took place yesterday at the Institute of Physics on the 7th November 2019 – celebrating 5 years of excellence.

The annual CPD Awards are designed to celebrate the continuing professional development (CPD) efforts and achievements of registrants from across the Science Council registers: Registered Science Technician (RSciTech), Registered Scientist (RSci), Chartered Scientist (CSci) and Chartered Science Teacher (CSciTeach).

The award ceremony celebrated half a decade of commitment to professional excellence this year, commending practising scientists for their expertise and their dedication to integrity and continuous development.

To be a winner or to be awarded a commendation for the CPD Awards demonstrates an individual’s commitment to undertaking work-based learning and self-directed learning at a high, exemplary standard in order to benefit the quality of their practice and to benefit colleagues, patients, clients or any other users of the service they provide.

We look forward to the CPD Awards 2020 next year, to continue to celebrate our dedicated registrants. Registrants who are interested in submitting a nomination are advised to start working on evidence for their CPD record right away – ensuring that reflection against activities is well demonstrated – to be able to submit the best possible nomination.

In particular, we encourage registrants to self-nominate – it’s your time to shine. The CPD Awards are a great opportunity to highlight the great work you have completed in your career.
