Chartered Scientist receives Queen’s Birthday Honour
Congratulations to Chartered Scientist Professor Tom Crick who was honoured in the Queen’s 2017 Birthday Honours List.
Professor Crick, who is Professor of Computer Science & Public Policy at Cardiff Metropolitan University, was awarded an MBE ‘for services to Computer Science and the Promotion of Computer Science Education’.
Others awarded honours for their contribution to science include Sir John Sulston FRS; Dr Angela Strank, Chief Scientist and Head of Downstream Technology at BP for services to the Oil and Gas Industry and Encouraging Women into STEM Careers; Dr Julie Maxton, Executive Director of the Royal Society for services to Science, Law and Education; and Tracey Brown, Director of Sense about Science for services to Science
