Policy and influencing

The Science Council provides a voice on policy issues affecting the science community, fostering debate and the exchange of ideas. We bring together our member organisations and a wide range of stakeholders to build consensus on pan-scientific issues.

The key issue for our members is the future of the scientific workforce. The UK needs to review and then invest in science education, training and skills – from school to professional development, with a focus on equity of access.
