Our Governance
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall leadership of the Science Council, and in partnership with the charity’s constituent Members setting its values, standards, aims and objectives and delivering them in line with the objects of the Royal Charter. The Board is responsible for ensuring that the Science Council functions within the legal, regulatory and financial requirements of a registered charity.

The Science Council Board of Trustees delegates various functions to its three sub-committees:
- Registration Authority
- Finance, Audit and Risk Committee
- Nominations Committee

Assessors
Assessors will complete assessments of applications via the Science Council Common Application Process (CAP) and be able to attend training; complete a probation period and refresher training as required.

Help the Science Council conduct License Reviews of our Licensed Bodies.
Registrant Champions
Support your colleagues to become recognised for their talent and skills in science.
You will need to bring expertise from your discipline together with your ability to access scientists and technicians with a whole range of backgrounds, to a common standard.

Applicant Support Mentors
Applicant Support Mentors (ASMs)
Science Council Applicant Support Mentors facilitate workshops aimed at supporting individuals to understand the process for professional registration and the requirements to completing an application.
