Institute of Biomedical Science

As the leading professional body for scientists, students, and support staff in biomedical science, the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) represents over 21,000 members in 74 countries. Established in 1912, the IBMS is dedicated to advancing excellence in biomedical science and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

To practise as a biomedical scientist, professionals must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
